My contribution to @babycakex85 ‘s #Naturalisbeautiful competition I thought I’d enter this one as, coming up to my 5th year in remission anniversary, I have truly learned that there is more than THIS. Beauty and confidence truly does come from within. Once everything was stripped from me physically and mentally - hair, weight, health - all there was to rely on for ‘beauty’ was the way I am at the core. See not a lot of people would understand, because many people are narrow minded, and influenced by societal expectations and such. I’m a very deep thinker, with an open mind and I truly am the biggest advocate for looking deeper within. Although this is a competition for physical, natural beauty, I’d like to focus on within. On days you don’t feel beautiful, look deeper as that is what really matters. At the end of the day, I don’t care too much about winning I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bring awareness and make you all feel beautiful. This is your reminder to take care of yourself, and love yourself like the little girl/boy inside you always wanted. For some, being on here is a way of developing confidence, for some it’s observing how others do it, and for others it’s a way of regaining power lost and through that - exploring an already increased sense of confidence and self worth. This came from the depths of my soul, and I’m not going to re read or edit so if it doesn’t make sense, just know you’re loved and you’re beautiful xoxo
